Lunch 1/9/15 We lunch her 3 to 4 times a year and have never been disappointed. Abbey was our server and she was great. Both of our meals were very good and came to the table fast. Try this place you will like it

Poor bar service. Did not get asked if I wanted a second drink! They took our IDs because we we're outta state and it took 5 minutes for them to come back. Also their employees were drinking at the bar after there shift. Very unprofessional!

Disgusting food and meh on the service. We sent our food back twice, and even our server agreed that it came out really fast, and it was probably someone else's food that the food runner grabed.

I've never had worse service in my life. It took over 40 minutes to get a beer. Multiple food orders were completely wrong after waiting over 40 minutes for food. After all that, the food was subpar.

They changed their fried shrimp and it is not good! Hope they realize it was a nig reason people come here!

I have been to this location more times then I can even count, never had a bad experience. Went for dinner last night and knew I had to write a review of the exceptional service I received. I arrived around 5:30, said the wait would be around 10 minutes. They were pretty busy, but only ended up waiting 2 minutes. We were seated, began looking at the menu, a man walked by and said hello (Dylan...looked like a manager)... then the wait began...about 6 different servers walked by and I started to contemplate if we were invisible. We waited about 10 minutes. Finally Dylan came by again and was disgraced that know one had helped us yet. He immediately called over a server from another area (Mark). The two of them were nothing short of amazing, they were so apologetic and super friendly. Dylan came by our table at least 4 more times to see how everything was and even stopped to entertain our little toddler at the table :) Food was delicious, Mark was great and had a nice evening with my daughter and best friend. Dylan definitely knows how to manage a restaurant and his employees. Nothing bothers me more then when something goes wrong and the employee starts explaining to me why...ex: We are so busy, we're under staffed tonight, starts blaming the server of that area. I don't need to know all of that just get me a server, apologize and make sure everything else goes smoothly. That's exactly what he did :) He even offered us free dessert. I hope Miller's Ale house knows what great employees these two are!

Food was Ok but the service was subpar. Our waiter seemed overwhelmed and took forever to do anything. We waited on our drinks. We waited on our silverware. We waited forever for him to get our check. If you have plenty of time to waste, this is your place. I did give them two stars strictly on the availability of Sierra Nevada Pale Ale.

I do not understand the positive reviews. They have a lot of TVs. That's kind of where my positives on this place end. Service is crappy. Food is horrible- hands down worst wings ever. It also appears dirty - tables are left for a while after customers leave without being wiped down. Wait staff doesn't remove food, empty glasses while You're still there, basically would rather move stuff to the side and creating more clutter on your table. None of the staff seems genuinely happy with their work environment.

I have been to the Estero location numerous times and it's usually mediocre, but I've gone back because of friends. Tonight was the absolute worst experience I've ever had. I bartended and served for six years so I'd say I'm very easy to accommodate. The server was completely rude and annoyed from the start and our food and drinks were absolutely horrid. They messed up every meal. I will not be returning in the future.

Fantastic Fish and Chips!!! Plentiful servings and good service. Highly recommend it!!

Gave them several tries. A couple apps were decent, but the entrees were always below par. Seafood was always dried out, burgers always overcooked from what was ordered, and the service was off every time. Either the service would be slow or the waiter/waitress would have their head spinning because they were overwhelmed.

Located in the Gulf Coast center, this Miller Ale house is your typical bar restaurant. Server was good but food runners were confused. Two of us ordered ceasar salads with dressing on side. They brought out one order with dressing on. Told them we ordered two and they came back and only brought one. Not a major deal but took another 5 min before bringing out next. I ordered grilled salmon and it was just ok. Not the best or the worst I've had. Had a bite of pizza and it was actually pretty tasty. Would come back and order differently.

We went there on Sunday December 28th. We had eaten there before and were very happy. But this time was totally different. We were a table of 9, the service was terrible. The table was sticky, I had to get our own silverware, takeback drinks we could not get any table service. When the food finally came, it was not hot and wasn't good. Our friends who we took there for the first time must have thought we were crazy to have taken them there. The manager took a percentage off the bill. The bill was still over $150 and wasn't worth $15.

I seem to only write reviews when I love a place, I guess because I am a positive person. This place is great. Two thumbs up. Great food, great atmosphere, and great service. Tons of TVs for watching games! Check it out if you haven't already.

Went there with a bunch of friends, if you want good drinks and a good variety of beer and would like to watch any game possible on TV this would be a place to go to, we did not have any food there so I cannot comment on the food but everything that was coming out of the kitchen looked good and I did not see anybody sending anything back, The staff was very attentive on getting us a seat that we could watch the games and it was very cold and they were accommodating to turn the temperature up a little bit so we were more comfortable, very friendly staff.

The theme at Millers Ale House is definitely quantity over quality. I have been to The Ale house many times and not just this location. I have tried a lot of their rather large menu and the word fresh has never come to mind. Just average pretty much sums it up. Wings are not good, stay away. The beer is never ice cold although they often have great drink specials. I was stopping in for lunch pretty regularly by myself and would always sit at the indoor bar. The main bartender that works during the day was so consistently bad that I stopped going all together. It seemed as if she was overwhelmed by just a few customers and it showed in her service. Beer glass would sit empty for what seemed like an eternity all the time. Took forever to get her attention to order, I had to start ordering my food with my drink because I knew if I didn't she might not be back by for 15 minutes. My dirty dishes would sit in front of me until after I paid and was out the door. I got sick of spending an hour an a half eating lunch. I am sure I will be back at some point but there are many other better options in this area so look around.

Very familiar with this brand and I needed to pick a place at Gulf Coast Town Center to meet a longtime friend and catch up in person. She was visiting parents in Naples, I live in Tampa and we wanted some place easy to access right off Interstate 75. Our first choice on this particular Friday night was Bar Louie nearby, but we walked in and immediately out of there when we encountered a DJ around 10pm. My friend and I were planning on doing a lot of talking and we had no interest in yelling at each other over nonstop loud music. So we found our way over to Miller's Ale House because we knew they wouldn't have loud music, although the place itself was noisy simply because of how busy they were with customers filling the restaurant and bar. Finding a couple spots open, we first sat at the patio bar (apparently others here on Yelp call it the Sweat Box) and we were not very comfortable there. The bar stools were oddly too high for the level of the bartop itself and there was a funky smell coming from behind the bar that would have made me sick if we stayed there for an extended period. I then saw a hightop table open up inside the restaurant, chased down a hostess and she was happy to seat us there. We stayed there for the duration of the night, enjoyed a couple drinks and were able to accomplish our goal of having a one on one conversation. Justified or not, one of the servers clearly was not happy we only had a couple drinks and did not order any food. I even tried to explain to her that my friend and I rarely have an opportunity to sit down and talk like this, but the server simply didn't care. It was awkwardly obvious that she was upset that one of her tables on a Friday night was going to be a very minimal check for the time we sat there. I do like the Miller's Ale House chain of restaurants overall, so this below average experience will not negatively influence me from visiting other locations around the state of Florida.

The covered outdoor bar is a nice plane to drink and eat while taking in a game. They will soon face stiff competition from Twin Peaks nearby which has superior food (e.g. Pot roast) but doesn't allow smoking where Miller's does. Good competent food at Millers but talent at Twin Peaks will also present significant competitive issues.

What a mess. The food was mediocre as a whole and the service was atrocious. The mountain melt had clearly been under a heat lamp for a while and was almost void of taste. The kids meal was less than average (according to an 11 year old,) but the pizzas had some good flavor. Service was almost non existent. Only one person got a refill once. Food took forever, about 35 minutes and lacked a dish. The manager came over to tell us but the explanation was laughable. The manager said "apparently they can't read in the kitchen" when she tried to explain how the item was missing. While we needed service, the server wasn't to be found. However, we did find her, sitting a few tables away chatting it up with a friend and having a good time. Upon complaining to the manager, the server apologized by saying she doesn't cook the food and can't control how the kitchen works. Anyway, we certainly won't be back. I can get bad bar food with poor service anywhere.

On this visit I had a pretty good experience. I had the blackened chicken key lime salad. I'm happy I did, it was a fresh and flavorful salad. Next time I will ask for dressing on the side because they put it on for you which I'm not a huge fan of. But in this instance it was fine but I could have done with slightly less dressing. The service was on point although the waitress' knowledge of the beers was non-existent. So be prepared to google, utilize BA or Untappd app to figure out what style of beer is available here. Example what is the Kona Castaway- it's a yellow beer was the reply.... A more appropriate response is simply it is a IPA or insert style. I appreciate the fact that this place carries a number of craft beers from the more well known to less known. I always try to drink something different when I'm traveling. The prices are pretty good. I will certainly be back here in the future. I would like to see some craft beers on Happy hour if possible. Keep up the good work.

Terrible food. Ordered delivery and when food arrived it was completely cold. Called to let them know and the second time our food arrived It was hot but you could tell it was nuked because the styrofoam was melted. The cheese sticks were missing the cheese inside, the flatbread pizza was worse then the worst frozen pizza on market and lacked flavor. The other food our party ordered was just average. I would not recommend

In a word, Awesome!!!!! We've now visited 3 different Miller's Ale Houses. We have not yet been disappointed. We've had great, friendly service, ice cold beer and delicious food. These locations are big too so no waiting to sit. Outstanding!!!!!

This used to be one of our favorite local restaurants. The last 3 times we've been however the service has been extremely slow and the food not nearly as good as it used to be. After tonight we will not be going back. It took nearly an hour to get our kids meals and when my husband finally got his soup and salad (at the same time our main meals came) the soup was cold. The manager came over to ask how things were and we shared our frustration. He did absolutely nothing. Very disappointed.

I ordered the seafood medley(pasta) it was delicious. The burger was very good according to my husband but the French fries needed a lift, it was on the saggy side :) The waitress was attentive.

Ate here the other day when my family was in town. Great food! I had the French onion soup and side salad and the soup was so awesome! Lots of cheese on top and nice and hot. Waitress was friendly and quick. This location is in a college town, should definitely offer student discounts!!!

Horrific food and slow service. The food gods were against us when we visited Miller's. For one they are an "Ale House" and yes they had numerous beers on tap and in bottles but they were all well known run of the mill beers. Disappointment #1. We all settled on bud light which was cold. Water tasted like bad fishy tap water. Appetizers of calamari and fish dip were not bad but the entrees were undesirable. Three people in our party ordered the prime rib, some time later the waitress came out and informed us that they were out of prime rib but they would substitute ribeye at no additional cost!! Last time I checked, prime rib is a better cut of meat. The food took forever to come out. I had ordered a side salad that did not come out until after my meal because the waitress forgot yet still charged us. The zinger mountain melts were a pile of grease and had sat under a heat lamp for some time. The chicken was dry. Steaks were all cooked well done when ordered medium rare and full of gristle. Shrimp pasta looked worse than chef boyrdee. It was essentially cheap spaghetti with milk poured over it. All disgusting! Everything was greasy and grimey. Horrible overall experience!

Regulars here. Alittle put off by this last visit. A lady was so blasted she fell right off of her barstool outside. Hit head on table, luckily she didn't seriously hurt herself. Myself and another gentlemen helped her up. She said "I'm just way to drunk". I asked the bartender if she was with people and had a ride. He said yes of coarse. So my friends and I went on our way. Than to notice later on her speeding off in her car. I'm in the service industry. And I realize these things happen all the time, but I thought this to be very irresponsible. Maybe better training of staff??? Oh and there was plastic in my house salad. That's always fun.

Most of the servers are helpful and constantly checked on our tables. The food are alright, I could pay the same amount for way better food at many other restaurants within Gulf Coast. I only go because my friends love it for the bar scene and their half price appetizers. It's a great sports bar though, plenty of TVs and a great place to meet people. it is simply not my preference. I would give them 3 stars on food, but 4 stars on their staff and sports bar.

Very good fish dip. Try the grouper blackened if you enjoy fresh fish. Kids grilled cheese was a hit for my boys.

Ate here tonight. Sat at the bar feeling invisible. It took forever to get the bar staff's attention throughout the 2+ hours I was here. I had to flag someone down every time I wanted to order something, including dinner. Staff were busy but not swamped. When I had their attention the staff were lovely. Nice college-aged kids. Not a bad attitude among them. This leads me to believe this to be a training issue. Staff need to take ownership of their customer service. I should not have to sit there for 15 minutes with an empty glass or with the closed menu trying to make eye contact with someone. Because I was having dinner I should have been offered a glass of water. This never happened. Menu had great choices and there were a ton of games on the multitude of televisions throughout the restaurant. A pretty good place for a chain restaurant, but the restaurant gets two stars because of the lax service.

Its Millers ale house! why are you reading this? the food is decent for a chain, the beer list is good...if you are still reading this you are the worst

Great fried clams even if they aren't on the menu . The Clam chowder is a must at midnight. There is a hint of celery that is cool . I like their Bistro Steak Salad and chicken parm. They also have great Lunch time specials. Wednesday is lobster day very inexpensive.

  • Rob S.

Not the first time here. The daily lunch specials were very reasonably priced. $4.95 for fish and chips on a Friday is definitely a good price. Portions were lunch size but ample for me. Fish fillets were small but received four on my plate. Fish was well cooked, but greasy. Fries were few and not that great. Service was good. Three stars.

Ok, maybe I should have done some more research beforehand, but just no. I had never heard of a Miller's Ale House so was led to believe that this was a local-ish place, not a big chain. That part is on me, but doesn't change my views of the quality here. For an "ale-house" I expected some decent selection of beer. But in actuality it's just some different bottles from all of the macro-breweries. The patio was decent, I'll give them that, but that's about the only compliment I can give. We ordered the nachos, which were one of the most disgusting presentations of the classic bar-food dish I've ever seen. They arrive in a pig's trough with an entire bag of tortilla chips. It then had salsa, sour cream, a tiny amount of cheese and then dried out, shredded chicken. I'm not just being bitter, this stuff was just nasty. I mean, they're nachos, so they're edible, but seriously, folks, can't you do it up a bit better? The rest of the food we got was equally as underwhelming. The fish tacos were bland, the burger had bacon on it so was fine, and the grouper sandwich was fishy as all heck. To make matters worse, the server seemed to be new and would awkwardly stand at the bar staring at our table the whole time, then would come over and screw our order up again. Don't be fooled by the name, this is just a cheap sports bar.

Hands down my go to bar when I am in Florida. They have a great selection of draft beers and a delicious food menu that is priced right. The staff always seems friendly and helpful with any questions as well.

Stopped at the ale house for a quick bite to eat but the service was so slow our experience was far from quick. We sat outside on the covered porch which was lovely. Although if cigarette smoke bothers you, you may want to sit inside. It was also very loud both inside and out. It took an abnormally long time to get served drinks (we ordered beer, not complicated cocktails, it shouldn't have taken over 10 minutes to get served)! When the drinks were brought out, one of the beers was the wrong kind. Food was mediocre; they could definitely work on their food presentation - all the meals looked like they were just thrown on a cheap, plastic, cafeteria-looking plate. When the bill came we were surprised to see we were over charged for the glass of beer that got screwed up. We were even surprised to see that they charged is at all for the glass of beer after all the hassle. It seemed like it would be too much of a problem if we said anything and would result in more waiting, so we ended up paying the extra $2 bucks that was overcharged.

I love this place. It's perfect because they're open a little later than most places. Good food and reasonably priced drinks! Yes! Plus, the staff is great. All in all, this place is where you want to go when you're visiting. Good job Guys!

  • Libby F.

The food quality is average but they always have awesome drink specials! They have air conditioners on the patio so it's actually pleasant even in the heat of the summer :) Moral of the story- if your looking for some decent bar food and cheap drinks- you found your place. Good bartenders too!

One meal not up to usual standards and staff bent over backwards to make right-- Love their osso bucco and seafood Mac and cheese--zinger salad a favorite, and verry tasty pizzas!!!

    (5)
  • Dan F.

Not impressed even for a chain. I ordered the house cheese steak and my wife ordered the chicken equivalent. Decent sized sandwiches, but both had no flavor. They both came with the toughest French fries we have ever eaten. My best guess is they fried up a bunch for the lunch rush some time before we got there and they sat out under a heat lamp so long there was almost no moisture left. They do have a large menu and beer selection, but we will likely avoid this chain unless there is a worse option. Gave them three stars among chains. I wouldn't say it was average among restaurants in general, however.

Awesome, casual dining. Happy Hour, drink menu, good appetizers, plenty of TVs. Picks - Cajun Pasta with Blackened Mahi, Fish Dip App, and Wednesday night is Lobster Night. The Osso buco is a must try.

this place was brought to our attention by our neighbors. we went on a thursday for their meatloaf lunch special. the food is VERY good. portion size is abundant for a lunch portion. the lunch special came with a large piece of meatloaf, one scoop of mashed potatoes and gravy and a roll. for $4.99 you can't beat the price. it's probably the cheapest place we've gotten out of for a GREAT meal in a long time and the flavor is definitely worth it. we will definitely be going back. wait staff was very friendly and punctual.

    (4)
  • Cassandra D.

Great selection of food (better than the average "bar food") and drinks here. Personally, the only thing that really held me back from giving 5 stars was the extremely weak cocktails. Yes, I understand it's an ale house but c'mon, give my drink just a little kick! Staff were all friendly and they serve food fairly late which is convenient if you fly in late like we did.

  • Victoria W.

My husband and I stopped in here while out shopping yesterday for a couple of beers and appetizers. It was really busy with a long wait so we found 2 seats at the bar rather than wait. From our spot we could see the kitchen, I thought they did a great job staying organized, considering how busy they were and it gave me something to watch other than sports! Speaking of which, they have a good amount of t.v.'s with the football package, pleased my husband. We ordered the chicken nacho's and I couldn't believe the waitress asked if we wanted to order "a meal" after because it was HUGE! The guacamole wasn't that great, would be better if they made it homemade which is easy to do but we really enjoyed the nacho's. I was so full I ended up skipping dinner last night so we got our money's worth! Good beer selection too. We definitely plan on returning!

Worst fish tacos I ever had. It was loud in there and dark. Needs some sprucing up. Lots of TVs if u r into that. The bar was very large. I wouldn't go back. It was just OK.

The outdoor bar (affectionately known to employees as the sweat box) is a very comfortable place to have a meal, even on a 90 degree plus day. Today I enjoyed the chipotle fish tacos (3, for $10.99) - they rocked ! I washed this down with a couple of pints miller lights (Sunday lunch price of $2.35 each). All this while watching my choice of 5 fully viewable big screen tvs. I'll be back

To start off, it's in a good size outdoor mall. I guess that's what I should expect in Florida opposed to where I from... the Windy City.. has a nice indoor bar area with several TV's but we walked right through to the back I guess that has a huge covered outdoor bar/ eating area. There are also several TV's outside as well too. The service was great and it was kinda slow as we were there during Thanksgiving, but our waitress was very attentive and brought our first round of drinks right away. We weren't too hungry so by boyfriend and I just ordered two appetizers, the Zingers in the Sweet Thai Chili, and I got the Hand Rolled Stuffed Jalapenos. I liked the Zingers (chicken fingers) but the stuff jalapenos were very disappointing. We are willing to return to this place on our next visit to Estero! Only one downfall... smoking is aloud in the outdoor bar area but because it's

1 out of 5 stars for management alone. Service is cool, Pool tables are fun, lots of TV's, food is OK, but management.... They turn the TVs when they want, don't ask anyone for their opinions, and blast terrible 80s music during some of the biggest games and matches of the year. No one in that entire place wants to listen to "Love Shack". No one cares if it's a corporate radio station. You are management. Do something, and make sure it's in your customer's best interest. And collecting money from a mass amount of people to watch pay per view on a company TV has to be illegal.

Great specials. I go for rib night on Mondays. Large rack of ribs and good flavor. Price is good for a full rack at roughly $10.99. You get to pick 2 sides also. Sweet patoe fries are flavorful. Also I ordered a salad for 2.50ish. Great price for the size and you actually receive tomatoes and cucumbers and other vegies. The salad is in a nice size Bowl. LOL Usually when you order a salad, it is rinky-dink.. They have specials each day. Lunch specials are also daily and well priced. No complaints.

We have had several bad experiences at the Miller's near RSW but last night's was the worst. It was a Monday night and pretty busy when we arrived at 7:00 after picking friends up at the airport. We waited for 15 minutes, drinks in hand, for someone to clean the table in the outside seating area we were directed to. Then, after we ordered our meal a full hour went by. There were empty tables and things had slowed down quite a bit during the hour + we had been waiting. When we asked the server why the wait he said the kitchen was backed up and it would be yet another 30 minutes. He insisted he had put the order in right away and that it had only been 30 minutes since he put it in the computer. That wasn't the case. After several requests that he get us a manager, the waiter told us the managers were also busy trying to get food to people. One of the members of our party actually got up to find the manager. Just as he came over, our food finally came. He promised us a free dessert. But after he left we all discovered our food was all cold. We called for the manager again, told him the food was cold and we weren't willing to wait more time for it to be reheated. We had all ordered the specials and apparently they just couldn't deliver. We were pleased when he finally told us there would be no charge. I couldn't eat my Zingers as they were awful served cold, so I really didn't get a free meal. I am giving one star because they did try to make it right by comping our meal. The service has always been slow there and we have had some rude waitresses before. But last night was the last night we will be going to that Miller's. We love the Miller's in Naples, by the way.

We stopped by late for a burger and beer after our late flight from New York. We sat outside. This place is run like a college hangout. Very young waitstaff and clientele. The bothersome issue was it was dirty. The floors seemed in clean and also the table tops.. I enjoy other miller ale houses, but this one is dirty and needs better management.

We tried Miller's for the first time on a recent trip to Ft. Myers and thought it was great. It's not a trendy place by the beach. It's the kind of sports bar we'd go to back home so we fit right in and loved it. It's clean and has a well rounded menu. Everyone ordered something different and we all loved it. David particularly loved the fish and chips which is made with white fish instead of the usual cod. Plenty of tv's to watch the game and a large outdoor bar and seating area as well. We'll definitely revisit on our next vacation. Wish they'd come to Michigan!

in the Towne Center near FGCU, the Ale House stood out just by the "ale" in the name. However, the waiter said they do not make their own beer. Disappointed. They did have a great selection from Rogue on tap to Red Stripe and Peroni in a bottle. There was at least 15 different beers on tap, all of which are ones are hard to find at a restaurant. I am only going to comment on the food I ordered. My selection was the OSOBUCO. I chose it for 1, the name; 2 its picture on the menu. It's basically a large pork shank on the bone, seasoned and tender. It comes with mash potatos with gravy and veggies of the day which in my case were steamed to perfection broccoli. TGhe food was delicious. I only gave the place 3 stars because the ambiance sucked. Way too chaotic and the people working there seemed like they were just all "cluster fucked". Panic city when theres a huge crowd and over an hour of a wait. I would go back and try some of their other menu items that i wouldnt see in Cali or Hawaii, like anything Conch

Total Florida retiree crowd. We called ahead to get on the "list" so we would have a shorter wait...still were told a 25 minute wait on a weekday evening...and outside, where we wanted to sit was smoky and nasty...not a very interesting crowd so we went walking through the rest of the GCT and found a wonderful restaurant called the Firepit City Grill which was wonderful! Great food grilled well and great live music which we were able to enjoy even sitting just on the outside patio...much more interesting (read; under 65) crowd yet not a ton of kids or tweeners either...very nice. Would highly recommend the Fire Pit City Grill but not so much Miller's Ale House...

The fish taco and calimari were very good. Did NOT enjoy the conch fritter at all, it was more like a grease fritter with not a hint of conch. We ate outside, so I cant talk about the atmosphere, but the crowd was younger although not unruly. Wait staff was ok, not over the top. On our latest trip to Ft Myers, we ate there twice. Nex time well experience more of the menu. Id recommend it for people looking for some good food and a couple of drinks.

Food is pretty good, service is great most of the time. Sometimes it's so busy the wait is understandable. Would recommend.

We were looking for a restaurant that offered seafood at reasonable price and this one fit the bill perfectly! The menu offered a large variety of choices and after making our selections each person in our party tried a different seafood entree and each of us thoroughly enjoyed it. About the only thing missing from the seafood selections was a tuna dish. The portions were very generous. We suggest this to anyone looking for a good value. You can't beat the selection of draft beer for variety. The Sea Dog Blue Paw was a good choice from the tap. The bloody mary was a tasty, but lacked the usual garnishments. It was also somewhat undersized for the price.

Recently while in sunny Florida on a lovely 80 degree day we needed to find a place to watch our beloved boys in purple. It was suggested we go to Miller's. What a great place! They have an inside bar and an outside bar that are both circular and surrounded on all sides with flat screen tv's. All the NFL games were on and signs clearly posted them. You request a seat/table near your team. We selected the outside bar since we were in shorts and it was very comfy. Imagine watching a Ravens game in December outdoors in your shorts! Only drawback at the bar was that there was smoking allowed. A couple a few seats away were the only ones smoking so it was not too bad for us. There was a nice breeze blowing and that helped. All the staff had the jerseys on from all kinds of NFL teams. We found other people dressed in Ravens gear that were watching the game. We also made some NE Patriot friends as they were next to us and rooting for their team which we were also trying to watch since Brady is our fantasy QB. They had so many drink specials. We settled on a bucket of 5 beers for $10. Full size ones. We also had a hamburger with three toppings you selected. It was cooked perfectly and was only $8.99 and came with fries. Only complaint was they could have had a few more fries on the plate. Staff was great. Always right there and there was quite a crowd but they handled it well. Our waitress was amazing. So if you are in town near one of these I highly recommend you go and have a great time! We did.....

Great place for the money. The food is consistently good, although the steak was a little overcooked. Wait staff is hit or miss, so the service suffers. There are daily drink and meal specials that are worth the wait, which is usually 20-30 minutes if you get there after 5 during season.

Service was friendly but forgettable. Food was just okay; I've definitely had better bar food in my life. Onion rings were standard issue and only lukewarm. Took forever to get our drinks and then we had to get our own straws from the bar. French fries were somewhat freezer-burned and dried out. I had a hickory BBQ chicken sandwich that was seriously lacking in the BBQ dept, barely enough sauce to justify the name. Plus the chicken tasted a bit funny. Overall, there are better options in the area. Avoid this one if you can.

A visit to the West side of Florida was unentertaining while my father was out of town. So, I looked into the local areas to eat and this was my first place I went out to to explore a younger crowd. The bartenders were friendly and helped me figure out the hot spots to go to with a younger crowd. =) Try it out!

I went in to watch the Vikings on TV and they had every NFL game on. The greeting from the hostess initially was not great but after we got past that all was good. The service was good, menu options were surprisingly varied. I was expecting typical bar food but there were a lot of options. I had the fish tacos. They were OK. Nothing spectacular, but my mother-in-laws steak salad was really good. Most importantly, they had TVs everywhere with all games being shown. If you are from out of town looking for a place to watch your team. This is the place. On a down note, we had a strong rainstorm and the direct TV was out the last hour of the late games! Ughhh. Nothing anyone can do about that!

Arguably my favorite inexpensive restaurant. There's a daily special (eg, this past Wednesday, they had a $12.95 lobster platter), a rotating seasonal menu, and a fairly extensive base menu. Yeah, it's a lot of fried food, but you don't go to a place called "the ale house" for health food, right? Ditto drinks; there's always a special of some kind; $2 Fosters, $5 top-shelf mixers, that sort of thing. That, and they've got plenty of "bar entertainment" -- Golden Tee golf, pool tables, and a ton of TV's showing whatever sports are on that day (indeed, there's a menu listing the college and pro games that will be showing this month). OK, onto the review. Last night, we decided that seafood was on the menu for us. My fiancee wanted lobster, and I wanted a variety, so we went to Miller's for a beer and some grub. It was busy, even at 7:00 on a Wednesday, but we were seated pretty quickly. The water came over even before we could decide on what to have to drink; we ordered a couple of waters to buy a minute or two to look through the menu. Ultimately, we decided on some Fosters ($2 a pint!), and a mixed appetizer plate (conch fritters, fried mozzarella, spicy fried crab bites, and some spinach dip). She had the Wednesday lobster special, and I had the seasonal crab platter (crab legs, shrimp, mussels, clams, corn, potatoes, and a lobster tail all boiled together with Old Bay). There were some issues with the speed of service -- the appetizers came before the beer, and the entrees came before the appetizers were halfway done. But, aside from that minor issue, service was good and prompt. The food? The appetizers were bar food, pretty standard. However, the entrees were quite good -- her lobster was cooked to perfection, and my crab platter was entirely decent as well (a small minus -- my lobster tail was frozen, while her whole lobster was fresh). The bill came ($43 for appetizer, two drinks, and entrees), and we were in and out in just under an hour. Good place for happy hour with friends, a nice place for a moderately-priced meal (we've been in and out for under $20 on occasion). All in all, I'm a fan.

Excellent food, very fun/casual environment. The seafood appetizer sampler was very tasty and the miller crab, lobster tail, and clam entree was delicious. My only complaint was the staff seemed a bit off that night. We couldn't find a hostess and didn't know where to sit down. Our waitress didn't seem very busy, but wasn't the most pleasant person to deal with when ordering.

Every couple months I'll go to the Ale House for the fights. All in all it's noting special. What you see is what you get.

If you would like a cold beer and lots of TVs to watch the game, Miller's will meet your requirements. The wait for a table can be quite long so my suggestion would be to just go straight to the bar.......... Dessert: Captain Jacks Ice Cream Cake

I've been to many ale houses from North Miami Beach, to Orlando to Lombard, IL and this was this best all around experience ever. The food was outstanding, the service perfect and the Manager "Brian H." had his arms wrapped all the way around a busy Friday night. He went out of his way to say hello to the tables and seemed so calm, cool, and collected which rubbed off on his staff. Being a restauranteur, it was thrilling to see such a flawless performance by a manager. Great job guys!

The pork shank is always good. every time I have gone I have the problem I always have with restaurants that have about 4 pages full of entree choices, I sit and stare and cant seem to decide. So I always end up with that damn beautiful shank with some kind of delicious rub on it. other than that I would have hoped that they would have a much better beer selection considering they have so many taps. How weird though most of them are bud miller coors derivatives. all in all not bad for a bar hangout restaurant.

I have always been a big fan of ale house. I went to FGCU so i was there before GCTC was even there. Ale house open at some point soon after and it has always been a place where i could watch a good game and eat good food. I like the zingers in particular or all entrees associated with them. I think i liked it so much because i seem to know at least 5 people who worked there. The customer service is decent all depending who you get. Its a nice setup indoor/outdoor bar. I dont go there as much as use to but when i am in florida its usually worth a stop in especially during baseball season...they show some out of market game which is great because i am a St Louis Cardinals fan so it always good to see NL Central games in the SWFL. Worth a try because of its great menu selection beer and food.... and if you are just flying in its perfect because its right near the airport

We had just arrived in Fort Meyers, it was almost midnight and we were starving. Luckily, someone at the airport suggested the Alehouse. Although it would not have been my first pick, it offered a good atmosphere, a great beer on tap selection and decent food. To be safe, I kept it simple and selected the key lime salad. It was surprisingly very tasty. It had tortilla strips mixed in for crunch and really nice and tender blackened chicken with a flavorful punch. I wouldn't hesitate to go back to the Alehouse in a pinch if I ever find myself in Fort Meyers again!

Realistically 3.5 stars. Friendly staff, good crowd, good selection of food. Fun place to go. Food is good, not great, but better than most bars/sports bars like it. We went there twice while visiting the area..go, you'll have a good time.

Great beer selection and good "bar" food. Come here to watch the game cause there's plenty of TVs.
